Abstract
A catalytic heater for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine includes at least one electrically excitable heating element, a hydrocarbon release arrangement for release of liquid hydrocarbon toward the at least one electrically excitable heating element, and an oxidation catalyst arrangement for oxidation of hydrocarbon heated at the at least one electrically excitable heating element.
