Abstract

A determination deviceincludes: an acquisition unitthat acquires digital color image dataof a region of interest in melanonychia of a subject; a calculation unitthat calculates an indicator valuefrom variation in RGB values of each pixel of the digital color image data; and an output unitthat outputs a result of determining that the melanonychia is malignant if the indicator valueis higher than a threshold value and determining that the melanonychia is benign if the indicator valueis lower than the threshold value.
