A method for controlling a LAN service and a communications service are disclosed. The method for controlling a LAN service includes: transmitting LAN-service-related information, where the LAN-service-related information includes at least one of the following: LAN service capability information of a terminal, location information of the terminal, LAN service subscription information, and LAN service request information.
