Abstract
A method and system for improving and automating the processing of claims and payout transactions to enable an immediate release of funds to residents without requiring the insured member to first submit a claim are disclosed. The system and method are configured to determine whether there is a high likelihood of damage to a structure based on embedded sensor data. In response to a detection of damage at the structure, a payout can be automatically generated. In some cases, a smart contract is executed such that funds are expeditiously released via a distributed ledger system to the insured member.
