Abstract
A lighting arrangement including a light emitting diode (LED) light source, a reflector, and a rod-shaped light guide element arrangement between the LED light source and the reflector. The side surface of the light guide element includes a prismatic structure with a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the light guide element defining a circumferential saw-tooth profile with at least ten vertices extending in a radial direction of the light guide element.
