Abstract
Provided is a polyphosphazene produced by a cyclic phosphazene of formula (1) wherein k is a natural number between 1 and 10, with a bis-hydroxy-terminated phosphonate of formula (2) HO—R—[O—P(O)(R)—O—R]—OH (2), wherein Rrepresents C- to C-alkyl, C-Calkylene, C-Ccycloalkyl or C-Caryl, Rrepresents C- to C-alkyl, phenyl or a bisphenyl, and n represents 1-10, in the presence of a base. Also provided is a process for producing the polyphosphazene, a moulding compound comprising the polyphosphazene and a thermoplastic polymer.
