Abstract

A battery system () has first and second battery module assemblies (), a conduction housing (), a terminal box (), and a power electronics housing (). The first and second battery module assemblies () are spaced from one another so that two footwells () are formed between the first battery module assembly () and the second battery module assembly (). A first section () of the conduction housing () extends between the footwells (). A power electronics () is provided in the power electronics housing (). The terminal box () comprises at least a first terminal () for a first consumer (). First conductors () are provided in the conduction housing () and electrically interconnect the first battery module assembly (), the second battery module assembly (), at least a first terminal (), and the power electronics ().
