Abstract
An ablation catheter comprises a proximal portion, a distal portion extending from the proximal portion, the distal portion comprising a set of insulated lead segments each having a distal end; and a set of uninsulated electrode segments, wherein each electrode segment is connected to and extends from the distal ends of a pair of adjacent insulated lead segments, and wherein the distal portion is configured to form a compact first configuration for advancement within a sheath lumen into an endocardial space, and to transform to an expanded second configuration when advanced out of the sheath lumen.
