A device control apparatus () includes a personality-information acquiring unit () that acquires personality information indicating a personality of a user, a control-method specifying unit () that specifies a device control method that is a control method for a device () used by the user from the personality information and a lifestyle pattern of the user, and a control unit () that controls the device () in accordance with the device control method.
