Abstract

A discharge phenomenon of a bearing is detected with high accuracy. Electric motor () includes stator () including stator core () with winding () wound around stator core (), rotor () facing stator () and including rotating body () and shaft (), first and second bearings () that are a pair of bearings, first and second brackets () that are a pair of brackets respectively fix outer rings () of the pair of bearings, conductor (), and current detector (). Each of the pair of bearings includes inner ring () and outer ring () and supports shaft () with inner ring (). Conductor () electrically connects outer ring () of first bearing (A) and outer ring () of second bearing (B) or stator core (). Current detector () detects a discharge current flowing through conductor () accompanying discharge in first bearing (A) or second bearing (B).
