Abstract
A device may be configured to perform spatial extrapolation based on information included in a neural-network post-filter characteristics message. In one example, a neural-network post-filter characteristics message includes spatial extrapolation offset syntax elements specifying a spatial extrapolation area. In one example, a neural-network post-filter characteristics message includes an output chroma format syntax element specifying a chroma output format for chroma upsampling. The device may be configured to calculate a patch height and a patch width based on the spatial extrapolation offset syntax elements and the output chroma format syntax element.
