Abstract

A LiDAR system that uses a MEMS-based scanning mirror that reflects pulsed light generated by a laser. The scanning mirror reflects the light through a lens system which collimates the light and allows its transmission to a digital micromirror device that steers the light to different locations corresponding to different orders towards an object to be detected. A photodiode, operational amplifier, timing chip and processing device then receive and process the light signal and generate a control sequence to synchronize timing of movement of the MEMS-based scanning mirror and the digital micro mirror device.
