Abstract
A composition is formulated in a therapeutic amount to maintain and promote hair health and growth in a human in need thereof. The composition may comprise a shelf stable, supercritical COfluid extracted, enhanced lipidosterolic extract of(LSESr). The enhanced LSESr may have a ratio of free fatty acids to total fatty acids that is greater than about 80.0% and an enrichment of lauric, myristic, oleic and linoleic acids as free fatty acids to total free fatty acids that is greater than about 82.0%. An enrichment of linoleic and linolenic acids together may be greater than about 3.7%.
