Abstract
There is provided a mold manufacturing method, including: preparing a glass mold formed of a glass material, as a molding mold for manufacturing an optical member having convex defocus portions on at least one of optical surfaces (S); and irradiating a surface of the glass mold for forming the optical surface, with a short-pulse laser beam to form concave portions corresponding to the defocus portions (S).
