Abstract
A leading closing edge safety arrangement for a vertically movable door device having door panel elements. The leading closing edge safety arrangement includes a sensor arrangement which defines an optical signal path, and an optical signal path interrupting element. The sensor arrangement has a coupling device on a left and a coupling device on the right door side region of the lower door end region. A first one of the coupling devices has a transmitter, and a second one of the coupling devices has a receiver. One or both of the coupling devices has a switching arrangement having a switch which switches the transmitter and/or the receiver so that no current flows therethrough at least in a lower end position of the vertically movable door device.
