Abstract
A system for controlling compaction operations may receive, from one or more sensors associated with a machine performing compaction operations on earthen materials, sensor data indicating a compaction level. The system may determine, during the compaction operations, a compaction level of the earthen materials based on the received sensor data. Further, the system may receive, via an input device on the machine, a first user input indicating an acceptable compaction range. The system may display, via a gauge on a display screen, the determined compaction level and the acceptable compaction range. Further, the system may receive a second user input associated with at least one operating parameter of the machine in response to the determined compaction level being outside the acceptable compaction range. The system may adjust the at least one operating parameter based on the received second user input.
