Abstract

A method for removing disperse die from a colored polymer containing an ester functional group may include heating an extractant to a temperature of 70° C. to 200° C. and bringing the extractant into direct contact with the colored polymer containing the ester functional group, thereby eluting the disperse die from the colored polymer containing the ester functional group, and recovering the extractant from an extraction mixed solution by a method comprising distillation. The extraction mixed solution may include the extractant and an extracted portion of the color-expressing foreign substances. The extractant may include one or more compounds represented by at least one of Formula 1 or Formula 2. Formulas 1 and 2 are described in the specification.
