Abstract
An ostomy leakage detection system () includes a sensing accessory () and a monitor device (). The sensing accessory includes sensors configured to detect ostomy effluent leakage under a skin barrier () of an ostomy pouch system (). The monitor device is configured to communicate with the sensing accessory to receive ostomy effluent leakage data. The monitor device is also configured to engage with the sensing accessory and configured to be attached to the ostomy pouch system or to user's body via the sensing accessory.
