Abstract
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The techniques described herein relate to control signaling for multiple radio access technology (RAT) carrier aggregation. A user equipment (UE) receives downlink control information (DCI) for a first RAT (e.g., 5G) and/or a second RAT (e.g., 6G), in a downlink control channel of the first RAT. The UE determines whether the DCI is associated with the first RAT or the second RAT by monitoring different search spaces, different control resource sets (CORESETs), different radio network temporary identifiers (RNTIs), different DCI lengths, different indication fields of the DCI, different capability parameters, and/or wake-up signals, that are associated with the downlink control channel communicated via the first RAT. The UEcommunicates via the second RAT based on receiving the DCI.
