A device may be configured to signal an encoder optimization information message. In one example, the encoder optimization information message includes a syntax element indicating a type of privacy protection. The syntax element may indicate a type of privacy protection as pixelation, where personal information is pixelated. A device may be configured to receive the encoder optimization information message.
