Abstract
A stereoscopic display device includes an optical element configured to restrict a (2h−1)image for a right eye of an h(h: a natural number) observer and a 2himage for a left eye of the hobserver to a position where visual recognition is possible and a display having a display surface including a plurality of pixels arranged in a first direction and a second direction and configured to display the (2h−1)image and the 2himage. A control process is performed so that at least one of a (2h−1)viewpoint region where the (2h−1)image is visually recognizable and a 2hviewpoint region where the 2himage is visually recognizable is wider than a distance between the eyes of the observer, the (2h−1)image is displayed on (n) pixels, the 2himage is displayed on (n) pixels, and a position of at least one of a (2h−1)interocular boundary that is a boundary between the right eye and the left eye of the hobserver and a (2h−1)interobserver boundary that is a boundary between the hobserver and an (h+1)observer is moved on the basis of position data indicating positions of the eyes of the hobserver.
