Abstract
A method for crimping an electrical cable with a shielding braid and an insulation enclosing the shielding braid includes removing the insulation at a predetermined area to expose an exposed portion of the shielding braid. The method includes crimping an inner crimp sleeve, comprising a pair of opposing crimp flanks, one of the crimp flanks has a locking latch and the other one of the crimp flanks has a latching receptacle, onto the insulation adjacent to the predetermined area and then bending back the exposed portion of the shielding braid at least sectionally over the inner crimp sleeve.
