Abstract
A recreational vehicle includes a chassis supported by ground engaging members and a drive train with a continuously variable transmission. A suspension is coupled between the chassis and the ground engaging members. A sensor coupled to the suspension monitors a first suspension characteristic, and a controller determines whether the vehicle is in an airborne or grounded state based on the monitored characteristic. The controller adjusts a second suspension characteristic in response to the determined state. The airborne state is identified when the suspension is detected as extended for at least a threshold time.
