Abstract

A teat () comprises a hollow teat body () including a deformable hollow mouthpiece () and a normally-closed valve () arranged at a level of the mouthpiece () or a level more downstream, the valve () being openable under the influence of suction forces exerted to the mouthpiece () by a user of the teat () during a liquid intake action. The valve () is included in a valve area () of a valve body () that is configured and arranged to prevent a closed-opened condition of the valve () from being changed under the influence of deformation of the mouthpiece () inflicted by a user of the teat () during a liquid intake action, so that the closed-opened condition of the valve () is controllable by means of suction forces exerted to the mouthpiece () by a user of the teat () during a liquid intake action.
