Abstract
The disclosure relates to a 5generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). A method performed by a digital unit (DU) of a base station in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes configuring, in a first control message, a section extension field including additional information, and transmitting the first control message to a radio unit (RU) of the base station, wherein the first control message includes information on one or more terminals scheduled in the base station.
