Abstract
A transmitting apparatus () includes a control unit () configured to generate PDCP (Packet Data Convergence Protocol) data containing information indicating at least a part of a HFN (Hyper Frame Number) held in the transmitting apparatus, and a transmitting unit () configured to transmit the PDCP data generated by the control unit to a receiving apparatus.
