Abstract
A filter cartridge for a respirator includes an RFID chip encoding a digital change management policy (DCMP) indicating a useful lifespan of the cartridge, so that the cartridge may be replaced at the end of the useful lifespan. In some examples, a system includes a respirator including a facepiece and an air blower; a removable contaminant capture cartridge installed within the respirator and configured to remove contaminants from the air as the air passes through the contaminant capture cartridge.
