Abstract
A device has a plurality of battery modules () which are arranged one behind the other in a joining direction (F) and each have a main body () interspersed with a group of battery cells () in the joining direction (F). The electrical connection of the battery modules is decoupled from their mechanical connection, and a spacer frame () is provided between adjacent battery modules (), which spacer frame () comprises at least one spacer () supported against the main bodies () of the battery modules () and openings () for multiple electrical contacting of the battery modules ().
