Abstract

A temperature sensing system using a molybdenum di-silicide (MoSi) sensing element. The MoSisensing element can be positioned at a sensing location and the resistance of the sensing element can be detected and converted into temperature value representing the temperature at the sensing location. The sensing system can be used to provide temperature sensing in environments experiencing very high temperatures (e.g. greater than 1,200° C.) with low-cost sensing elements. The sensing system can also provide accurate temperature sensing across a large range of temperatures.
