Abstract
An ignition system () for a gas generator comprises an ignition tube (); a base () having a receptacle (), wherein the ignition tube () is press-fitted into the receptacle () and extends out of the base () with its head (), and the base () is configured as an integral injection-molded part, wherein a metal inlay () is injection-molded into a plastic material, and the inlay () provides a portion of the receptacle (); and a container () having an opening (), through which the base () together with the ignition tube () is press-fitted into the container (), with the head () of the ignition tube () facing forward.
