Abstract
The disclosure relates to a container transport system for transporting a plurality of containers along a transport path comprising a first container transport device having a plurality of first transport elements for holding and transporting the containers, a detection device, a second container transport device comprising a plurality of second transport elements for holding and transporting the containers, wherein the second container transport device is arranged along the transport path downstream of the first container transport device. The detection device is configured to detect the orientation of a container held by a first transport element, and the second container transport device is configured to align a second transport element based on the orientation of the container held by the first transport element, which orientation is detected by the detection device, in order to receive the container. The disclosure also relates to a method for transporting containers.
