There are described isophthalamides of the general formula (I) as herbicides. In this formula (I) X and Y are radicals such as hydrogen, alkyl and halogen. Zand Zare radicals such as alkyl, cycloalkyl and phenyl. Q is a heterocyclic ring such as tetrazolyl.
