Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a system that enables no-code creation of tenant-specific user interfaces for a multi-tenant, cloud-based application. Users of the application are able to customize their own data model for the application. The system includes a UI component registry that includes all code and metadata required to render a UI component. Using the metadata from a tenant's custom data model and metadata from the UI component registry, the system provides a no-code development workspace in which a tenant can create custom UI pages, add UI components to the pages, and associated specific data fields from the tenant's data model with these components, all without writing any code. A page layout definition is used to render the custom UI pages, where code for the UI components is retrieved from the component registry and substantially real-time data binding is performed between the UI components and the selected data fields.
