Abstract

There is provided a scroll compressor capable of stopping breakage even when a rear bearing supporting a shaft has an outer diameter dimension larger than an outer diameter dimension of a shaft seal. The scroll compressor includes a rear bearingpress-fitted and fixed to the center casingto support the shaft, and a shaft sealdisposed on the through holeside of the rear bearing. A movable scrollis revolved with respect to the fixed scroll. The rear bearinghas an outer diameter dimension larger than that of the shaft seal, and the shaft sealhas a separate structure from the rear bearing. Between the rear bearingand the shaft seal, a shaft seal fixing platehaving a diameter larger than that of the shaft sealis interposed.
