Abstract
A sensor arrangement () and a process analyze a gas for at least one predetermined component and includes an electrochemical sensor () with a measuring electrode () and a counter electrode (). An electrolyte () is arranged between the electrodes (). The process is carried out using such a sensor arrangement. A contact segment () of an electrically conductive measuring element () is in thermal and/or electrical contact with a measurement object () (measuring electrode, counter electrode, or electrical contact). A connection segment () of the measuring element connects the contact segment to a temperature sensor () spatially distanced from the measurement object. The temperature sensor directly or indirectly measures the temperature of the contact segment, particularly the temperature of the connection segment. Depending on this measurement result, the temperature of the measuring electrode and/or the temperature of the counter electrode is determined and optionally controlled.
