Abstract
The present disclosure is directed to a foamable composition and a foam article formed from the foamable composition. In an embodiment, the foamable composition includes from 50 wt % to 65 wt % of a propylene impact copolymer, from 10 wt % to 18 wt % of an ethylene elastomer with a density from 0.860 g/cc to 0.89 g/cc and a melt index from 1 g/10 min to 50 g/10 min. from 10 wt % to 18 wt % of a propylene elastomer with a density from 0.860 g/cc to 0.890 g/cc and a melt flow rate from 1 g/10 min to 50 g/10 min, from 0 wt % to 15 wt % of a filler, and from 0.5 wt % to 5.0 wt % blowing agent. The foam article formed from the foamable composition has a density from 0.800 g/cc to 0.850 g/cc, and a notched Izod impact strength at 23° C. from greater than 11 KJ/mto 27 KJ/m.
