Abstract

A display device includes: a display panel including a display region having a first region and a second region positioned adjacent to the first region, and a peripheral region positioned adjacent to the display region; a light blocking pattern overlapping at least a portion of the second region and not overlapping the first region; and a transmission layer disposed on the light blocking pattern and including a first portion overlapping the first region and a second portion overlapping the second region, where a transmittance of the first portion is lower than a transmittance of the second portion.
