Abstract
The invention relates to a vacuum tank () for a vacuum toilet, which tank comprises an inlet opening () which is located in a side wall of the tank and can be connected to the main drain () of a bowl () via a valve (), and comprises an outlet opening () located at the deepest point for conveying the wastewater flow. The air in the tank can be vacuumed to a pressure below the atmospheric pressure via the outlet opening () or via additional openings in the vacuum tank (). The vacuum tank () is subdivided into an upper volume () and a lower volume () by a separating element (), the separating element () being arranged approximately at the height of the inlet opening () in the tank and forming a preferably helical, downwardly open groove () which extends across the periphery of the tank and, starting from the inlet opening (), extends at least once around the horizontal periphery towards the lower volume (). A through-opening () is located in the middle of the separating element () between the upper volume () and the lower volume (). The invention also relates to a vacuum toilet having a vacuum tank () as described above.
