Abstract

Systems and methods for testing a pump assembly for a cooled radiofrequency treatment procedure. In some embodiments, the pump assembly and at least one pump head are driven by at least one respective motor, where the at least one pump head is coupled to tubing for delivering a cooling fluid to a medical probe assembly. The at least one pump head is configured to pump the cooling fluid through the tubing for the cooled radiofrequency treatment procedure. The system can also include a programmable controller operatively connective to the pump assembly and configured to control the pump assembly, and one or more pump function sensors for sensing operation parameters associated with the pump assembly and communicating the pump operation parameters to the controller. The controller can determine that the pump assembly is operating properly based on the operation parameters and can adjust the operation of the motor or output an alert.
