Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a stator assembly for an electrical machine. The stator assembly comprises a plurality of stator frames () forming a stator rim (). The stator frames () defining ring sectors and mounted to each other to form a stator rim (). Further, the stator frames () at least partially form an air distribution channel extending from at least one of the stator frames () into another of the stator frames (). Methods () for assembling a stator assembly are also disclosed.
