The interface () may support a plurality of transport protocols (). The device () may include a Vital Product Data (VPD) reading logic () to read a VPD () from the chassis () and a built-in self-configuration logic () to configure the interface () to use one of the transport protocols () and to disable alternative transport protocols (), responsive to the VPD ().
