Abstract
A method, according to one approach, includes: sending multiple different operating system commands to hosts connected to a SAN. Information received in response from the hosts is compared against known operating system command results, and historical relationships are created between the hosts and the SAN. These historical relationships are also used to train an AI based model to: identify relationship changes between the hosts and the SAN. Identified relationship changes are compared against known fingerprints. However, in response to determining an identified relationship change does not match one of the known fingerprints, between 1 and N additional operating system commands are issued to the respective hosts. Additional information received from the hosts in response to the additional operating system commands, is compared against the known fingerprints. Moreover, in response to the additional information matching one of the known fingerprints, between 1 and M operating system specific commands are issued.
