Abstract
A drive track () for a vehicle includes a frame (), a drive pulley () rotatably coupled to the frame () and coupled to a drive (), an idler pulley () rotatably coupled to the frame (), and a track wheel () disposed about the frame (). The track wheel () includes a continuous belt () and a plurality of link assemblies () coupled to the belt (). Each link assembly () includes a plurality of alignment elements () configured to engage with a surface. The alignment elements () are configured such that rotation of the belt () defines a first movement direction of the vehicle, and are further configured to permit movement of the vehicle in a second movement direction perpendicular to the first movement direction under the weight of the vehicle. The vehicle may be a robotic device () for repairing a leading edge () of a wind turbine blade () and the drive track () allows the device () to remain aligned with the leading edge (), such as a curved leading edge ().
