Abstract

Aspects of the disclosed technology include techniques and mechanisms for mitigating power anomalies in data centers based on dynamic rectifier threshold values. A rectifier is coupled to a server rack and to a controller. The rectifier has a rate of change of voltage protection (dv/dt) that indicates a change in voltage over time that indicates that an anomaly or transient event has occurred. The controller adjusts the rate of change of voltage protection to account for changes in network conditions, such as for example the amount of power being supplied to a rack which may be indicative of the types of loads being processed by the servers housed in the rack.
