Abstract
The present invention relates to a support body () for a paper machine having an extended nip formed between the support body and a counter-pressure member, wherein the support body comprises—a base body () comprising an upper surface facing in the first direction, —a cover body () comprising a working surface () for forming an extended nip with a counter-pressure member, wherein the cover body () is mounted on the upper surface of the base body () such that the working surface faces in the first direction, and wherein the cover body () comprises a first material, said first material being a polymer.
