Abstract
The present invention concerns a paper-based barrier multilayer packaging material structure () being formed as a unitary sheet and comprising from its outer surface to its inner surface, the following layers: —a polymer dispersion coating () having a thickness of 1 to 10 μm, —a paperboard () having a grammage of between 120 g/mand 500 g/m, —a water-based or solvent-less adhesive () having a thickness of 1 to 10 μm, —a barrier metallized paper layer (MBPL) having substance weight between 30-120 g/m, preferably 45 to 90 g/mand a Water Vapour Transmission Rate (WVTR) of 10 to 0.1 g/m/d, preferably a WVTR of 1.0 to 0.1 g/m/d measured at 38° C. and 90% RH, and an Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR) comprised between 100 and 0.1 cc/m/d, measured at 23° C. and 50% RH, preferably an OTR comprised between 1.0 and 0.1 cc/m/d. —a water-resistant polyolefin sealable coating () having a thickness of 10 to 50 μm, preferably of 25 to 35 μm.
