Abstract

An instrument retainer can be receivable in an end effector of a surgical arm. The instrument retainer can include a body and a collar. The body can include an instrument bore extending through the body along a longitudinal axis. The body can also include a distal portion and a proximal portion including a proximal surface. The proximal portion can form a radiused funnel connecting the instrument bore to the proximal surface. The collar can extend radially outward from the body. The collar can be engageable with the end effector to position the instrument retainer within the end effector.
