Abstract

The invention relates to an outer-conductor contact element () for a right-angle plug connector (). The right-angle plug connector () has a crimping portion () for pressing the outer-conductor contact element () onto an electric cable (), said crimping portion () having a free end (), which is open at the end side, for receiving the cable (). The right-angle plug connector () further has a sleeve-like contact portion () having a free end (), which is open at the end side, for establishing a connection with a corresponding mating plug connector, wherein an exit angle (α) is formed between a first longitudinal axis (L) of the contact portion () and a second longitudinal axis (L) of the crimping portion (). The right-angle plug connector () also has a tub-shaped transition region () which, starting from the crimping portion (), extends along the second longitudinal axis (L) of the crimping portion () as far as the contact portion (). The crimping portion (), the contact portion () and the transition region () are formed in one piece from a deep-drawn sheet-metal part.
