Abstract

The identification system includes a vehicle and an infrastructure device installed in a predetermined area. A first device that is one of the vehicle and the infrastructure device includes an output device configured to output an electromagnetic wave or a sound wave that is not for wireless communication. The second device that is another of the vehicle and the infrastructure device, includes a receiving device configured to receive the electromagnetic wave or the sound wave output from the output device of the first device. The first device is configured to output the electromagnetic wave or the sound wave modulated to indicate an identification code of the first device from the output device. The second device is configured to identify the first device based on the identification code indicated by the electromagnetic wave or the sound wave received via the receiving device.
