Abstract
Techniques are provided for processing frequency domain non¬contiguous positioning reference signals. An example method for determining a time of arrival of a frequency domain non-contiguous positioning reference signal includes receiving the frequency domain non-contiguous positioning reference signal, determining a first estimate of the time of arrival () based on a narrowband processing of the frequency domain non-contiguous positioning reference signal, performing a wideband processing of the frequency domain non-contiguous positioning reference signal based on the first estimate of the time of arrival, and determining a second estimate of the time of arrival () based on the first estimate of the time of arrival and the wideband processing of the frequency domain non¬contiguous positioning reference signal.
